Driven by Fierce Passion

Origins

Glīd was founded on operational lessons learned in uniform and on the factory floor.

The company’s founder began in the United States Army, executing railhead operations during Operation Iraqi Freedom, where the tempo of rail-to-road transfer often determined mission success under austere conditions. He later served as a Firefighter and Logistics Officer in the United States Air Force, sustaining distributed, multi-domain operations that demanded precise, resilient supply.

In the private sector at SpaceX, Northrop Grumman, and Harley-Davidson’s Serial 1 Cycle Company, the same structural flaw was evident: first-mile logistics remained fragmented and dangerous, with road and rail functioning as silos. Glīd was created to correct that flaw with a rail-first, dual-mode architecture that merges advanced vehicles with a coordinating intelligence layer.
